Two graduates of ITAF schools recently graduated from Masters’ studies. They are María Divanery Bolaños, who graduated as Master of Agricultural Sciences from the National University of Palmira, and Fernando Cometa, who received the title of Master in Social Innovation from the Icesi University of Cali.
María Divanery works in the Forestry Division of Smurfit Kappa as a Research Technician in the Phytosanitary Protection Program, and Fernando Cometa is a teacher in the ITAF of El Tambo. Both graduated with honours, and are a source of pride for all ITAF students and for us at SK.
“I am very grateful to all of the members of the Smurfit Kappa Colombia family and its Foundation, for their contribution to the transformation of the social, economic, political and, mainly, educational dynamics of the areas of influence of the Company, and for this I invite you to continue working in favour of a better future for youths of El Tambo and Cajibio. What better example than that of a rural child, with scarce economic resources, like me, to whom you gave the opportunity of a better quality education, and whom today receives a Master’s degree in one of the most prestigious universities in southwestern Colombia “: Fernando Cometa – Teacher ITAF El Tambo
