Environmental fair in Yumbo

The Smurfit Kappa Foundation took recreational activities to 1,250 children and adolescents of the Gabriel García Márquez school. The objective was to let them see how paper is made and also how the Foundation works to help achieve a better quality of life for their community. The framework for this activity was the Environmental Fair “I care, you care, all in a safe space” that was held in District One, in Yumbo

The environmental fair is part of the initiative “Yumbeñitos playing for the environment – District One green again II” of the Yumbo Business Alliance (where the companies ARGOS, Smurfit Kappa, EPSA, Gases de Occidente, PROPAL, and their respective foundations, participate). Working together with the community and the public sector, this initiative seeks to promote actions that foster care, knowledge and conservation of the environment, within the framework of the Integral Territorial Development process (DIT Yumbo).
