This program contributes to the reduction of the illiteracy rate among youth and adults working in the Company’s Forestry Division and in the surrounding communities, through primary and secondary basic education.
It is supplemented by visits to students’families, get-togethers, motivation workshops, follow-up meetings, pedagogical days and complementary courses for work and human development in the population served.

“Last year I saw my dream come true: I graduated from High School at 72 years of age. Thanks to the adult education programme I now feel I have the capacity to be a good leader and to help my community. I learned that during this process, and I relate it to my daily life. That’s why I give a thousand thanks to the programme and hope that it continues so that other people can better themselves.”
