At the Smurfit Kappa Colombia Foundation we train children, youth and adults to integrate into a global, competitive, wealth-creating economy that is a source of well-being for their families and their communities. And we do it from early childhood, attending to children under 6 years old, from vulnerable communities, and through the strengthening of community mothers. Similarly, we offer secondary schooling with a technical-agricultural and forestry approach, to children and young people in the areas of influence of the Company; we improve the educational level of forest workers, their families and neighbouring communities. Also, we provide complementary work-training and we support the incorporation of members of grassroots organizations in productive activities in those same communities.
